I wish I had been their personally to see Portsmouth Chief of Police Charles Horner plead his case that his “problems” were the result of stories written by “internet” web sites.  It’s obvious to anyone that listen carefully Horner is discussing Danny’s Forum, Moe’s Forum, The Sentinel, and Doug Deepe.Com.   I for one am very proud of all the stories I wrote on this crook and he now is reaping the seeds he sowed.

First, when Horner complains about his “family” being attacked he is discussing my revelation to the citizens of Portsmouth that his son was a “drug addict.”  The reason that story was written was because PPD Chief Horner made the following challenge to me, “You may think my son is a drug addict but you can NEVER prove it.”  This statement was made to me in the Portsmouth Municipal Building outside the Clerks Office on the stairwell heading down to the PPD Department.   I turned to Chief Horner and stated, “That sounds like a challenge!”   Horner’s response was, “If you had anything or find anything, then print it, because you know you can’t.”   So, the hunt was on at his challenge.

Low and behold the Portsmouth Municipal Clerk of Courts Office failed to seal up David Horner’s, (Chief Horner’s son), criminal record for drug abuse which was to have been sealed up.   Once I found PROOF, the story went up.   He was so “intimidated” by me that he went on either Danny’s Forum or Moe’s Forum (I can’t remember which) and wrote he wanted to talk to me using his real name.  I asked on the forum for a number to call him and he immediately put up his office telephone number.   I called Horner and went to see him. 

At this meeting where he was so intimidated he made the following statement, “You’re the first guy to ever beat me.”  I then apologized to Horner and asked Horner to call his wife and I apologized to Brenda for writing the story but I did it because of Horner’s attacks on me and his personal challenge to me to find the info and then write it.

Chief Horner has selective memory.   While I was with a friend at Attorney Christine Scott’s Office on a personal matter, I received a call from Chief Horner begging me to come to his office.  He was on the verge of tears.   At that time I was confused because I was exposing lies about Horner in another matter that I had learned during my first meeting.   Chief Horner met me with a pen and paper and asked that I write down a request to get copies of his speech he gave to a local civic group and that I please put it up on the internet as fast as possible because he believed former Portsmouth Mayor Greg Bauer was going to fire him.  That story involved Chief Horner’s views on the high crime rate in Portsmouth.  Chief Horner claimed former Mayor Bauer was angry because of his presentation to that group and felt if I wrote what he did and why that it might give him time to get Bauer off of his back.   I read the presentation and then put it up on the internet word for word because it was something I believed was true.

I don’t remember hearing on the video that was just release of Chief Horner’s testimony concerning our “help” we gave him. 

Yes, Chief Horner cracked, and I for one am glad, especially if it removes him from office.  His actions on the stand were the same going on for years.  He is a paranoid person and believes he is above the law.   His officers know if he gets his job back that he will retaliate against them because they finally were forced to tell the truth.  I heard the acting Chief David Thoroughman defended Horner yesterday.   What else could he do?  Thoroughman assisted Horner going out on local forums using the name “Grasshopper” to try to intimidate us to stop writing with threats of jail, lawsuits, etc.   I have this on tape where Horner and Thoroughman are laughing because there wasn’t anyway to prove it was them.  When I pulled out the tape and a copy of the computer being used (coming from the Portsmouth City Building at all hours of the day and night, the smile came off of their faces. 

As for the former city official come crying to Chief Horner, Horner told me that was Marty Mohr.  (I have no proof of that but Horner told me all about the meeting.)  Horner stated that Mohr feared being “outed” about his sexual affair and how it would cost him his marriage and get him excommunicated from his local church.   If those stories were false all Mohr had to do was file suit.  He owns a business and had the money to do it.  Mohr offered money up if the story would stop.   Right Marty?   Mohr got what he deserved.  He went to Chief Horner to get us arrested for libel and intimidation of a witness.  According to former Scioto County Common Pleas Prosecutor’s Office employees, Chief Horner sought our arrest.  Horner was asked if the stories were true or false.   Without any proof the prosecutors tossed Horner out. 

The sexual stories and misdeeds of former MRDD Superintendent John Oakley were proven to be true too.   The new MRDD Superintendent, Brenda Benson, came to my home thanking me for getting him out.  Benson then stated that Oakley stole all of the offices computer equipment, fax equipment and other county property.   Benson said that Oakley destroyed them.  County and City law enforcement refused to go after Oakley.  I wonder why?   Does Oakley have personal info on certain law enforcement officials?

The sexual story about Lucasville Superintendent Doug Booth was also true.  Booth swore he would NEVER RESIGN.   Two days later after I put up the emails he was writing back and forth with this female teacher/sexual affair partner, Booth reversed course and retired.   Hum, I wonder why?

Then we have Mr. Gary Daniels, aka Lookdeeper, the new defender of Chief Charles Horner.  Daniels loves to copy others.  Look at his name, Lookdeeper was a spin-off of Doug Deepe.  His website was called River Lies, trying to make fun of Dr. Forrey’s website called Rivervices.   Daniels owes over $200,000 in a lawsuit, is a dead beat father who failed to make child support payments to his ex-wife and sick children, while Daniels was out having a love relationship with another woman.   Daniels lied on Bob and Teresa Mollette claiming that they drove about 100 miles to dig up this dirt on him.  Now Daniels says we wrote stories about his “dead son.”  That never happened.  Now we learn Daniels was supposedly having coffee with Horner sharing their sorrows about being picked on through the internet.  Daniels continually called me and the Sentinel Staff liars about our stories.  Yet when we get into his courthouse records and report the FACTS, he jumps over to defend Horner.   I think these two men deserve each other.  I hear that there is a wonderful psychiatric hospital in Columbus.  If they both check in, they can have coffee over their Thorazine shots.

Daniels claims to know me so well yet I walked right past him in a Franklin County Courthouse, sat through one of his hearings about his failure to pay his child support, and he never approached me.  I even sat down once and talked with his wife about how he treated her and his kids.  Lets just say when I printed that story Daniels went nuts just like Horner.   Did Daniels sue?  No, because he knew I would bring his wife, kids, his female lover (not his wife), and court officials to prove what I wrote was true. 

Daniels has consistently stated that the Sentinel and Doug Deepe.com were really the creations of the Councilman Bob Mollette and his wife, Teresa Mollette.   The Sentinel and Doug Deepe started on the internet in 1995.   We never met the Mollettes until sometime in 2002.   I think that proves there is no connection to this pack of lies being spewed by Daniels.  Maybe Horner and Daniels had more than crème in their coffee!!!

To quote Lee Scott, Horner is reaping what he sowed.  Not one lawsuit filed against any of the stories we wrote about Horner, City Officials, County Officials, or private citizens.  I wonder why?   Its easy people, the stories were all true.

Maybe Chief Horner will be out barking like a dog again today when he reads this story.  Someone should find where he is staying and put a few bones or sticks by the door so he won’t run out and start chasing cars!   Remember the barking Chuck?

As I stated when I began, I’m proud of what I’ve written about Chief Horner and everyone else I’ve written about.  Sorry if the truth hurts, but public officials and private citizens that jump in the fray better be able to handle the truth!   Chief Horner isn’t nuts, he’s just a mean, grumpy old man, that got outsmarted by this ex-felon.   I take pride in that fact!  

But what does the internet attacks have to do with why Chief Horner is on administrative trial?   No charge was made against him concerning the internet, except that the investigators were told by local cops that Horner ordered them to NOT GIVE OUT PUBLIC INFORMATION on cases to internet sites.   That sounds like a good lawsuit for violating our 1^st Amendment Rights.  Who better to testify on our behalf than the local cops, and ex-FBI agent and a former US Marshall?    If Chief Horner thinks this current case is bad, wait until I get him under oath!   He knows we have tapes.   And so does the feds.  

I give Chief Horner credit, he’s going down as the liar we knew him to be!   As the Bible says, God warned that he would expose the liars that hide and seek to destroy those in ambush.  Their words will be used against them like a double edge sword.  Not only were those that we wrote about destroyed with actions but by their own words.  That was prophetic justice in the highest court there is!!

     I have stood off and watched with total amazement at the stupidity, and genius, of the lawyers and

backers of the Portsmouth Progress Group.   I gave them more credit than they deserved but I also put

faith into a group that has allowed members of the SOGP to enter into the inner circle of the group that

is suppose to be defending the people with the alleged wrong doing of the SOGP gang.

     Yesterday I called Austin Leedom and we agreed to put the old Sentinel Staff back together and

hopefully over time Austin will see the light and withdraw from the group that has allowed four

members of the old SOGP to join the group we once held in high esteem.  In fact, the group is

now being led by one of the individuals that originally spearheaded the Martings renovation.  

It’s funny what a few dollars gained those folks entry into, the inner sanctum where decisions

were being made.

     What I don’t understand is how Progress Portsmouth and the lawyers that back that group

missed the fact that legally they can move forward with their project without a vote of the people!  

Yes, it’s a fact, they can begin today, tearing down the old and building the new without the permission

of the people.   All of the concerned citizens have put their trust in the “home rule” and the “city charter”

to keep these men at bay.   Well once these men take the time to step back and look for the secret key,

it will be game over!

Taxes will be raised on the property owners and suing or running to the Ohio Board of Elections, Ohio

Attorney General, Ohio Auditor or anyone else will serve no meaningHow many times have the Sentinel

Staff been wrong in the past?   We helped remove a mayor, two city councilwomen all for less than a

few hundred dollars.  We removed MRDD Superintendent John Oakley and the Lucasville Superintendent

Doug Booth without a penny.  We took down City Service Director Mike Blackburn without a penny. 

All of the Sentinel Newspapers were paid for by advertisements, donations from our personal pockets,

and donations from a select few we trusted.  

     We refused money from the gang to keep them at bay.  Now the door has been opened by

accepting their money and you can no longer keep them out of your meetings.  They now will begin

to learn what, when, where and how you plan to attack them.  I thought it was funny to see Councilman

Mike Mearan waving the white flag and offering peace at your last council meeting.  I enjoyed seeing

him pay off his bet to a man in the audience.  Yes, the white envelope was a dinner for two!  

Now people say, “Give Mike a chance.”  This is the same guy who rented a car for his secretary that

was used to bring drugs into Scioto County and it would have succeeded if not for the Waverly Police

stopping her and her boyfriend and seizing the drugs.   Who ran to defend her?  Mike Mearan. 

     The pied piper is leading the group out of town and soon the vote, if needed, will go their way. 

The Bauer recall was won by about a 67%-37% total.  The latest vote tally brought it down to about

57%-43%.  The traction is slipping yet people are jumping for joy. 

     It was sad when the group legitimized drug dealers/abusers websites but to allow members of the

SOGP to lead your group is the first step in destruction of all the hard work people put in to shining

the light on the corruption in the City of Portsmouth.  As the Bible says when you hear the words

“peace, peace, then comes sudden destruction.”  There is a reason Portsmouth is the 8^th worse city

in the nation to raise a family.  Soon it may become number one in that category.  Who does that help? 

The SOGP and you, the members of the group that were leading the way out of darkness is planning

to join forces with the darkness you claim to despise.   That’s not the group I knew.

I'm still working on getting used to the Sentinel site but I'm hoping you can put up a notice to the people that you, me and Wally ( the original Sentinel gang) are regrouping and our first action will be a civil rights suit against Horner, the PPD, Mayor Kalb and the City of Portsmouth for admitted violations of our first amendment rights.   Let the people know we have legal counsel and the suit is being written and will be filed in US 6th Circuit Federal Court in Cincinnati very soon.  Tell them our star witness will be a retired US Marshall from the Columbus area.  I'm going to try to post some tomorrow.   So I hope you can get this blurb up before I go to writing so they know we have regrouped and are back in the fight.   John"
